Hydro-Vac

An example of hydro-vac excavtion. This high pressure gas main was suspected to be leaking. After setting up traffic control and emergency procedures it was carefully located by potholing. Following this the entire tee section and pipes were exposed for an easy and safe repair.

Flood Prevention

An example of some larger scale specialised plumbing. We constructed a pump well with inlet weir and grating, with two large pumps on guide rails. In flooding situations the large influx of storm water could then be pumped outside the levee banks. See more on the portfolio gallery.......

STP and Distribution

Sewer from three homes and School amenities at an Outback School was run through 3 small Sewer Treatment Plants to this distribution well. What was once a dust bowl is now a green, grassed play oval of approx 30 x 50 metres.

Drain Repair

No relining this time. After CCTV inspection and diagnosis small sections of drains were replaced and sewer junctions with large diameter access risers were installed as a safer alternative to using access manholes.

2021 July - New Drain Camera

My drain camera was also amongst the equipment stolen recently, however this has also now led to the purchase of an even better camera to take it's place. This camera has pan and tilt capability. This enables better viewing of cracks in the walls of a pipe and also easily looks up lateral junctions.

2021 July - New Powerful Jetter

Unfortunately my water jetter was stolen recently, however this has now led to the purchase of an even more powerfull machine to take it's place. This beast puts out 35 l/min @ 5000 psi. With water jetting expertise gained over 30 years since I built my very first water jetter in 1991, what I can do with this machine will not disappoint you. It will scour your drains clean and oblitorate tree roots.

This blog will be an accumulation of interesting, informative, technical and humorous Plumbing facts, stories and issues. 2020 July - Junction Repair

Repair in progress on a broken junction which was letting in tree roots and blocking continually. The junction is being lined with epoxy plastic which is reinforced with a plastic felt. The junction is inserted, the air bag which transports it expanded and then cured using hot steam.

In the Beginning:

The licenced contractor Andrew Gould served a Plumbing Apprenticship in Wellington NSW and finished training as a Journeyman Plumber in Bourke NSW.

Through The Years:

Since 1985, I have been operating mainly as Silver City Plumbing in Broken Hill, across NSW and South Australia.

In 2021, I began business as Renopipe in the Albury district.

My background as a high quality plumbing contractor now spans more than four decades, with a vast experience, across a broad cross-section of the plumbing trade. Through this time I have had close association with all the other building trades. The experience and knowledge aquired places me in an excellent position to provide the specialist services listed in the service pages. Please take a moment to view the range of services provided.

Looking Ahead:

Trenchless technologies are my main focus. The aim is to be able to provide better and more cost effective solutions to clients through up to date techniques along with innovative thinking and ideas.

What am I really About?:

My main drive or catch phrase if you could put it that way, is - 'I am a can do person'. In other words I never see a problem that can't be overcome and I like to surround myself with people who are the same.

Another main driver is the old Axiom 'If it's worth doing, then do it right'. Therefore, it is necessary to complete quality work only, then check and test it on completion.
